The Marathon
At 25km, the plan ends and the person begins. Four runners, one question: what shows up when the race gets real?
In 2026, Black Sheep will supply the Australian Team for the UCI Granfondo World Championships. Built on our Pinnacle range, including the AeroWeave Jersey, Zer0 Bib and Brace, this is race equipment for riders who have earned the right to wear green and gold on a world championship start line.
Cycling does not only live in the WorldTour. It lives before sunrise. It lives in bunch rides, coffee stops, long climbs, missed alarms, indoor sessions, family calendars, work schedules, and the quiet decision to keep showing up when nobody is watching.
That is why the UCI Granfondo World Championships matters. It is the biggest amateur championship in cycling, but “amateur” has never meant ordinary. These are riders who have earned the right to stand on a world championship start line. Riders with jobs, families, responsibilities, and lives that do not pause just because there is a race on the calendar.
In 2026, Black Sheep will supply the Australian Team for the UCI Granfondo World Championships. It is an honour, but more than that, it feels deeply aligned with who we are. Black Sheep was not built from the top down. It came from the bunch. From the road. From the people who take the sport seriously, even when nobody else is keeping score. And we could not be more stoked to be outfitting some of the best amateur hitters in the country.

The Australian Team garments will be built on our Pinnacle range, including the AeroWeave Jersey, Zer0 Bib and Brace. This is not souvenir kit. It is race equipment for riders representing their country on one of the biggest days of their cycling lives. That matters to us. Every panel, seam, pocket, hem and chamois sits against someone’s preparation. Someone’s early mornings. Someone’s family standing behind barriers, watching them wear the green and gold. The product has to respect that.
This also sits inside a broader commitment we have made to Australian cycling. Through our work with the Australian Cycling Academy / ARA Skip Capital, we have seen the performance pathway up close: young riders, hard racing, development, pressure, and the discipline required to move through the sport. Through the Future Project, we have seen another side of the bike. Its ability to give athletes structure, identity, opportunity, and a future they may not have been able to see for themselves.
For us, supplying the Australian Team is not about visibility. It is about responsibility. The green and gold should not be treated lightly. The riders who wear it have earned it, and the garments need to be worthy of that moment. We are proud to play a small part in their campaign. Proud because it is Australia. But mostly proud because this is cycling in its most honest form: people who care deeply, prepare properly, race hard, and keep showing up.
